Be a part of history and join us as we celebrate the 5th induction of robots into the Robot Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony will take place on Tuesday, October 23, 2012, 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm at Carnegie Science Center, Pittsburgh, PA.

Attendees will enjoy hors d'oeuvres in roboworld and then attend the ceremony located in the Bayer Science auditorium. The ceremony, hosted by Bill Flannigan, will present speakers, guest entertainment, and of course the announcement of the 2012 class of the Robot Hall of Fame. From a list of finalists chosen by a panel of robot experts the general public is invited to cast their votes for their favorite robots in four categories: Education & Consumer, Entertainment, Industrial & Service, and Research.

The Robot Hall of Fame recognizes excellence in robotics technology worldwide and honors the fictional and real robots that have inspired and made breakthrough accomplishments in robotics. The Robot Hall of Fame was established by the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University in 2003 to call attention to the increasing contributions from robotics to human society.
